How to read these examples

Four stories are supported by archived snapshots. Others describe order scope or campaign formats. Some figures appear as ranges or lower bounds for privacy. These are individual stories, not a count of unique clients.

Historical examples. Scope and outcomes vary. These figures do not guarantee the results of a new campaign.

Supporting evidence by request

Tell us about your music and goals. We will select relevant examples and check which anonymized supporting materials we can share.

Keeping identities private

Some artists and labels prefer to keep promotion private. We omit names, release links and original screenshots, and do not disclose them without permission.

SoundCloud

One release or a whole catalogue

Short and monthly campaigns we have experience running. We agree availability, scope and timing before starting.

3, 5, 7 or 10 days

A track or playlist

A short campaign to introduce a release or give previously released music renewed support.

A series of launches

A release catalogue

Multiple releases supported through separate campaigns. We agree the launch sequence and which releases to revisit.

Monthly format

A profile and its music

Work across a page, its published catalogue and new releases within an agreed scope.

Reposts and broader promotion

A repost package sets the number of placements within a profile network. A broader plan may include other agreed channels. Reposts do not equal unique listeners.

What should I prepare?

Send a track, playlist or profile link, the genre and your goals. Music in a short campaign should be publicly available in all countries. For a profile, we agree releases and scope separately.

SoundCloud

Tools for your campaign

We select a set of tools for each SoundCloud track, playlist or profile. The choices reflect your genre, audience, goals and budget, from supporting a single release to working with a catalogue.

Music networksReposts, contacts, playlists and collaborative formats on SoundCloud.

  • Our own profile network

We repost tracks and playlists through our own SoundCloud profile network. We choose profiles that suit the music and schedule support across the campaign to introduce the release to their audiences.

  • Music networking

We draw on our music contacts and wider profile network to find suitable support for a release. We discuss options for a SoundCloud track, playlist or page based on genre, audience and the formats each contact can offer.

  • Curated playlists

We find SoundCloud playlists that suit the track’s genre, mood and sound. We introduce the music to their curators with a short release description so they can listen and consider it for a playlist.

The curator decides whether to include the track.

  • Guest mixes

A guest mix can introduce a project through a music series or a suitable SoundCloud channel. We discuss the theme, length and selection with the host, then connect the post to your profile and featured releases in its description.

  • Collaborative projects

We explore joint releases, remixes, mixes and themed selections with projects whose music fits yours. We discuss the idea and support for the SoundCloud release when the format interests both sides and suits their audiences.

  • Promotion platforms

We use promotion platforms and music networks that work with SoundCloud releases. We select an available format for presenting a track, playlist or profile, then agree the scope, timing and how the delivered support can be reviewed.

Publications and recommendationsIntroducing a release through communities, music media and independent recommendations.

Editors and creators decide what they publish.

  • Social media and music communities

We introduce releases in communities that listen to and discuss your style of music. Formats can include announcements, track stories and shared listening sessions, with a link to the selected music on SoundCloud.

  • Release premieres

A new SoundCloud upload can be paired with a premiere in a music publication or relevant community. If the editors are interested, we discuss an announcement with a direct link or player and coordinate its timing with the music going public.

  • Music blogs and media

We pitch releases to music blogs and publications that suit their genre and story. An article can include a direct link or an embedded SoundCloud player, letting readers listen to the track while learning about the music.

  • Creator recommendations

We can introduce your music to reviewers, selectors and independent creators whose audiences fit the release. We discuss how to present the track and link to SoundCloud, while respecting the creator’s own perspective.

Advertising and email promotionAds and emails that lead to your music on SoundCloud.

We agree the budget and required access before starting.

  • Banner advertising

Banners on music websites and other suitable sites can link directly to a SoundCloud track, playlist or profile. We choose placements, visual presentation and campaign dates around the release’s audience and the agreed budget.

  • Advertising by interests and location

Social media ads can lead to a specific track or profile on SoundCloud. We use available audience and location settings, prepare different ad versions and review clicks to refine the presentation and budget allocation during the campaign.

  • Reconnecting through advertising

When a suitable audience is available in the ad account, we can show music again to people already familiar with the project. Available interactions with ads, posts or your website help define that audience, with ads linking to the selected SoundCloud material.

  • Email promotion to music contacts

We introduce music to DJs, producers, radio stations, curators and editors who may be interested in the release. The email includes a short description and a SoundCloud link, with recipients selected for their musical focus and professional interests.

  • Music newsletters

A release can be proposed for a music publication, community or other suitable project’s newsletter. If the editor is interested, we discuss a short recommendation with a SoundCloud link for their subscribers, considering the newsletter’s focus and publication terms.

  • Artist or label newsletters

An artist or label with an existing newsletter can use it to support music on SoundCloud. We help prepare a release announcement, catalogue selection or project update for people who have already subscribed to their news.

SoundCloud toolsPlatform features available with the appropriate plan and account eligibility.

SoundCloud features, not guaranteed standalone PromoRing services. Platform requirements and account access are checked; setup is discussed separately.

  • Promote on SoundCloud

SoundCloud’s official advertising tool can show a track in the selected audience’s feed or homepage. We choose campaign settings and a budget for ad impressions, while plays depend on how listeners respond.

Requires Artist Pro and an original, public, monetized track that you own. Mixes, remixes and covers are not eligible for Promote.

  • Amplify

Amplify can recommend eligible new tracks to listeners with related music interests. Availability and the release’s eligibility are checked separately.

Requires Artist or Artist Pro, public music longer than one minute and shorter than ten minutes, uploaded or made public within the past 14 days. A specific play count is not guaranteed.

  • Messaging through Fans

With Fans access in an Artist Pro account connected to monetization, you can communicate personally with your most engaged listeners. The tool supports individual conversations about the music and helps maintain an existing interest in the project.

  • Bonus music for followers

Bonus tracks uploaded directly to an Artist Pro account can be made available after someone follows the profile. This format can support monthly work with the audience, while the main music being promoted remains public.

Profile and analyticsPage presentation, catalogue organization and progress reviews using available data.

  • Profile presentation and Spotlight

We help give the page a consistent look and highlight the music that makes a useful introduction. We review the description, artwork and links, and suggest an order for pinned tracks or playlists when Spotlight is available on your plan.

  • Titles, genres and descriptions

We check track titles, genres, tags and descriptions to present your music clearly. Descriptions can connect new releases to your catalogue and include useful links while preserving accurate artist and contributor information.

  • Playlists from your catalogue

We organize published music into profile playlists by mood, series or a stage in the project’s history. This helps present the wider catalogue, connect new tracks with earlier releases and plan further support for music throughout a campaign.

  • Testing and insights

We compare presentation options, record track figures by date and review available data on play sources and listener countries. Separate links help track clicks from ads, publications and emails so we can refine the campaign plan.

Clicks are not plays, and an increase in a total counter does not by itself establish a channel’s contribution.

What suits your project

We build a plan for your music from these options. The methods, timing and scope are agreed separately, and we check feature and placement availability before starting.

Discuss promotion

About SoundCloud promotion

Which genres can you promote?

Send the music and its main genre. We will check which networks and formats suit the release. We do not promise identical availability for every genre.

Can I target a particular country?

We discuss preferred countries before starting. Audience composition depends on the selected platforms and audience activity; we do not promise a fixed country split.

How do reposts differ from plays?

A repost places music on a profile and can introduce it to that profile’s audience. One repost does not equal one listener, and booked repost scope is not a measurement of plays.

How is the outcome assessed?

We agree the actions included and the data available. Track counters, completed placements and profile observations are reported separately.

Can I request supporting evidence?

Yes, tell us about your project. We select relevant anonymized materials and review whether they can be shared. Originals containing identities are never sent automatically.

Timing and budget

How long does promotion take?

Timing depends on the service. We’ll clarify it when discussing your request.

Do I need a budget in mind?

Not necessarily. Include it if you already have one. Otherwise, we can start with your goal and the options available.
