Music for industry professionals

A release can have several goals: a DJ-set or radio play, editorial interest, a place in a music selection, or new professional connections. We select relevant recipients for the genre, character and goals of each campaign.

  • DJs and producers

Club and radio DJs, residents, mix creators and music producers.

  • Radio and podcasts

Radio stations, music departments, show hosts and podcast curators.

  • Media and editors

Music publications, magazines, blogs, reviewers and specialist platform editors.

  • Playlist curators

Independent curators, music selections and specialist playlist networks.

  • Premiere channels

Premiere platforms, music YouTube channels and genre-focused communities.

  • Labels and A&R

Label owners and teams, A&R and other contacts open to relevant promos.

  • DJ pools

Professional pools and services that introduce DJs to new music.

  • Promoters and venues

Event organizers, clubs, music collectives and venue teams.

  • Management and agencies

Professional teams and approved artist promo contacts.

We agree the recipient mix for each release, considering musical focus, submission preferences and contact availability. Not every category is included in every campaign.

From preparation to reporting

We agree the music, goals, timing and scope before launch. We check the required assets and availability of suitable contacts for your release.

  1. Prepare the promo

We review audio files, artwork, metadata, the release date and a short brief. We confirm versions and permission to send the music.

  2. Select relevant contacts

We consider the genre, character and goals of the release. We agree the relevant categories and review your recipient wish list for relevance and contact availability.

  3. Schedule the mailing

We agree the send date and coordination with the label and other campaigns. We consider possible recipient overlap in advance wherever possible.

  4. Report and verify support

We collect the available feedback and campaign metrics, along with confirmation from DJs and artists. Support in sets and broadcasts is shown separately from mailing statistics.

Each metric has a specific meaning

A send, a reaction and a track play answer different questions. We agree which report data will be available before the campaign starts.

Sends and opens

Sends describe recorded mailing activity. Opens are not unique listeners and do not prove that a recipient listened to the track.

Reactions and feedback

Reports can contain different responses, including negative feedback. The number of feedback or reaction entries is not the number of people supporting the release.

Support marks

The Supporting field reflects declared support within the report. On its own, it does not confirm a radio broadcast, playlist addition or DJ-set play.

Promo-player plays and downloads

These counters describe activity with the promo. They are not total streams on music platforms, unique listeners or confirmed broadcasts.

A DJ-set play or radio broadcast

Tracklists, recordings of broadcasts and sets, or direct confirmation from DJs and artists establish that a track was played.

Before your campaign

What materials should I prepare?

Send MP3 or WAV audio, artwork, the release and version titles, artist names, label, genre and release date. Include a short release description, a listening link and your goals. We will agree exact file specifications and any additional assets before launch.

How are recipients selected? Can I suggest a wish list?

We consider the genre, character and goals of the release, then assess suitable professional contacts. You can suggest DJs, radio stations, media and other recipients. We will check relevance and whether those contacts can be included. A response or support from a specific recipient is not guaranteed.

Can the campaign run alongside Proton Promo?

We can discuss a parallel campaign with the label’s permission. Timing, release versions and audiences need to be aligned because contacts may overlap. We assess each campaign individually; we do not promise an automatic integration or the absence of duplicate recipients.

How far ahead of release should I get in touch?

Contact us when the music is ready and you have a tentative release date, before finalizing the promo schedule. We will confirm launch availability, preparation time and campaign duration for your release. There is no single lead time that applies to every campaign.

What reporting is included?

We agree the available data and report format before starting. Depending on the campaign, this may include sends, opens, reactions, feedback, support marks, promo-player plays and downloads. Actual radio or DJ-set plays require separate evidence.

Which service should I choose, and what does it cost?

Send the music, genre, release date, goals and an approximate budget. We will check the available options and propose the campaign scope with current pricing. Historical examples do not establish a tariff or guarantee the outcome of a new mailing.
